ALABASTER JAR AWARD

Become a Pebbles Olympian!!!

After you have completed the Pebbles Award, we hope that you will want to go on and do it again.  In fact, we hope that you will want to come back each year, setting more challenging goals as your capacity increases.  For this reason, we issue another challenge.

We call this the Alabaster Jar Award.  When the idea for this additional award came to me, I argued with myself.  “No,” I said, “that is too hard.  This will only discourage the girls.”  But the Spirit whispered to me, “Yes, it will take a great effort, but  if you set it, someone will achieve it.”  So, here it is.  You have been challenged.

Godly womanly influence, as we have said, implies being an instrument in God’s work and glory.  You can become a godly warrior of womanly influence in the Lord’s Kingdom.  This award involves earning the Pebbles Award four times, and then stretching just a little bit more to do those few more goals that are specific to this award.  And then, wow, look what you have done!

The Noble & Great One  Super Project

There will be more information and explanations about this when the time comes, but it wouldn’t hurt to start thinking a little bit about this Super Project.  The purpose of this project is that you will do some thinking and praying about the unique gifts and talents that the Lord has blessed you with, and to come up with a meaningful project using those gifts to bless others lives.   It encompasses several of the award categories.

Pebbles Leadership Counsil

It is an important part of the gospel that when you have risen, then you turn around, reach out, and pull others up with you.  That is the idea behind this requirement.

In order to earn the Alabaster Jar Award, each girl must serve on the leadership committee.  By doing this you will gain the knowledge and experience and confidence that you need to continue to lead and plan meetings and activities throughout the rest of your life in the Lord’s service.
