Family History

The book of Hebrews records that without us, our ancestors could not be made perfect, and without them, we cannot be made perfect.  It is an important aspect of the gospel that we research our own family histories.  Choose a goal that will contribute to your family history collection.
.
Some Examples:

    Take a genealogy class and begin a genealogy folder.
    Look up the Church’s family history website and learn about how you can do your own genealogy.
    Read a biography or history about one of your ancestors.  Record at least three qualities about that person that you want to emulate.
    Take a tour of the Church’s genealogy library in Salt Lake.
    Interview a grandparent and record his or her answers.  Record at least three qualities about that person that you want to emulate.
    Interview a grandparent with a recording device.  Find out about stories that they have not recorded in their journals and ask them to tell you about those stories.  Then, type up the story and give it to family members as a gift.
    Put together a photo album.
    Write your own family history.
