Some Instructions About Your Prayer Journal

The ultimate desire of this award is for you to form a lifelong habit of hearing and responding to personal revelation.  It’s reaching up, through prayer and writing in your prayer journal scripture reading, but it’s also receiving.  We are suggesting that in addition to doing these things, that you spend time listening to receive the Still Small Voice.  This is what will truly change your life.

Miracles

When you have prayed for something and your prayers are answered, write it in your small plates.

When you see that God has intervened in your life, even when you were not expecting it, write it in your small plates – these are your own personal miracles!

Still Small Voice

When something comes to your mind that inspires you, makes you feel peaceful, or that makes you feel empowered to do something that you previously thought you couldn’t do, write it in your small plates.

If you feel like you have had a conversation in your mind about something important that is happening in your life, write it in your small plates.

Inspiration

When you have an “a-ha!” moment, when you suddenly “get” something that you didn’t understand before, write it in your small plates.  This is your own personal inspiration.

When you are reading, or listening to a talk, or pondering about something, and you begin to feel completely focused, and it seems to be making perfect sense, write about this in your small plates.  This is scripture to you.

If you have been worried or stressed about something and then something comes to your mind that feels like inspiration as to how you can make the situation better, write it in your small plates (and then do it!).

Burning Bosom

When the Holy Ghost testifies of truth to you, write it down.

Change of Heart

When the Spirit fills you with peace and the fruits of the Spirit, write it  . When you feel charity, joy, gratitude, forgiveness, confidence, understanding, care and compassion, write about it. (Ephesians 5:22-23)
