Hold to the Rod
And the Spirit giveth light to every man that cometh into the world; and the Spirit enlighteneth every man through the world, that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit. And every one that hearkeneth to the voice of the Spirit cometh unto God, even the Father. D&C 84:46-47

The PoWeR Award
Prayer,
Writing, and
Reading Scriptures
The real desire of this goal is that you will develop a lifelong habit of reaching to God through daily communication. Taking time to pray each morning and evening, to express your thoughts in writing in your prayer journal, and reading from the scriptures will provide a strength in your life that cannot be described.
The goal is for you to do these three things for 180 days. Every day that you complete a perfect PWR day, mark off a box. If you miss a day, don’t skip a box, just mark the very next box the next day that you read. There is a 60 Day award, a 120 Day award, a 180 Day award, a 240 Day award, and (if you only miss 4 or less days between March 1st and February 28th of the next year) a 300 Day award. The 180 Day award is required to earn the Yearly Pebbles Award.

The Wise Steward
Think of your brethren like unto yourselves and be familiar and free with your substance, that they may be rich and be familiar and free with your substance,
that they may be rich like unto you.
But before you seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God.
And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good—to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted. Jacob 2: 19
The Wise Steward
Financial Responsibility
The Doctrine and Covenants teaches us that he will hold us “accountable as a steward over earthly blessings.” In some ways, money is a worldly concern and we should use caution in consuming too much of our thoughts and concerns with it. However, as with all things temporal, there is a spiritual consideration. For this award you will need to do one thing.
For Example:
First, attend a class on the law of consecration and tithing and resolve to live these laws in your life.
Do a project to earn money and save up for something.
Open a bank account and learn how to use a checkbook.
Read a book or pamphlet about managing your finances.
Help recycle something (or several somethings).
Head up a fundraiser to earn money for a project in the community.
Attend a class on financial planning and set a goal to budget your money and use all of your god-given resources as wise stewards.
